Wimmera Steampunk Festival

Main Event: 5PM – 10PM
Following the success of the 2022 Wimmera Steampunk Festival, they’re back again for what is shaping up to be a bigger a better event. The theme is ‘The Time Travellers’ Soiree’, where Dimboola is transformed into a 19th-century outpost for time travellers to meet one another. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in a costume from any time period you prefer.
Let’s conjure a parallel Wimmera, where time travelling steam-powered airships hover against the big crimson sunset. The town centre becomes the mind’s playground for madcap fantasy, strangeness and escapism.
The event runs for the length of the weekend, with pop-ups, shows and live music throughout. The main event is the Saturday night, where the street comes to life with light projections, 12 live music performers across 3 stages, local food vendors, market stalls, flash mobs and more. There will be something to capture your imagination at every turn, promising to be an unforgettable and otherworldly experience for all.
Glam in Goroke

Get ready to experience a night of glitz, glamour and laughter as Goroke Town Hall plays host to the hilarious and spectacular drag show, Glam in Goroke! Starring the fabulous Wanda Queen of the Little Desert, along with special guests Michelle Ranby and Sharon Starr, this event promises to be a night to remember.
Join Wanda for an adults-only evening of fun and entertainment in the charming country town of Goroke. With its quaint charm and friendly community, Goroke is the perfect backdrop for a night of laughs and frivolity.

The festivities kick off on Friday with a PJ party dinner where you and your pup can show off your stylish sleepwear. Then, on Saturday, get ready for the main event featuring a range of activities and attractions that are sure to delight all Dachshund lovers.
Browse through the market stalls, challenge your pup in the Dachshund race, and join in on the fun games and activities. The fashion parade will give you and your furry friend the chance to strut your stuff and show off your style.
Live music will keep the energy high throughout the day, as you and your pooch enjoy a day of sunshine, laughs and fun with fellow dachshund lovers.
Donald BNS Ball: The Duckz Nutz Ball

Donald is hosting the inaugural BNS Ball in 2023. This classic Aussie tradition is a great way to let loose and have some fun. With Ben Gunn, Emily Hatton, Iain Archibald Band up on stage, the night is sure to be a great one filled with music, dancing, and plenty of good company going around. Of course, it wouldn’t be a BNS without ute flexes and the typical shenanigans. Pull on the boots, dig out the bowtie and gear up for a good time with great mates.
Morrison Polkinghorne Exhibition

Step into a world of beauty and art at the latest exhibition at Turbo Gallery in Rainbow, featuring the incredible Morrison Polkinghorne. Known for his unique approach to painting and art, Morrison creates every impression on his paintings and art pieces using freshly-cut lotus stems stamped in his artisanal ink made from distilling lotus petals. The result is a stunning collection of lineal designs that capture the essence of nature and the beauty of the lotus flower.
As an Australian artist, Morrison has gained international recognition for his work, including winning the prestigious International Artist award at the 2020 Chicago Art For Life awards. Now, his work is on display for all to see at the Turbo Gallery exhibition.

The Light Fades but the Good Remains, Bill Henson Exhibition

Experience the artistry of one of Australia’s most revered artists at the Monash Gallery of Art (MGA) travelling exhibition. The light fades but the gods remain showcases two key series by Bill Henson that explore the suburb of Glen Waverley, where the artist grew up.
To celebrate MGA’s 25th anniversary, Henson was commissioned to revisit the suburb of his childhood and produce a new body of work reflecting upon his earlier series, Untitled 1985-86, which is known by many as “the suburban series”. This ground-breaking exhibition offers a unique and unparalleled insight into the artist’s exploration of the notion of home, where he intensifies the everyday to a point of dramatic revelation and romantic beauty.
Witness the artistry of Bill Henson and his evocative exploration of suburbia and discover the beauty that can be found in the everyday.
