Goroke Silo Art

The Goroke Silo Art is nestled in amongst the gums in a quaint country town in Western Victoria. Beautiful birds adorn these old silos bringing them back to life. They are but one piece of the amazing art of many along the ‘World’s Largest Outdoor Art Gallery’, The Wimmera Mallee Art Silo Trail.

The Goroke Silo Artist is Geoffrey Carran, an incredibly talented fauna artist, specialising in endangered bird species. More information about the artist can be found on the website. Other pieces of Carran’s artwork can be found in the township of Apsley, a colourful mural on the public toilets, and also on the side of the Bendigo Bank in Edenhope. Both townships are approximately 45 kilometres from Goroke. Makes for a perfect day trip.

The township of Goroke is approximately one hour from the South Australian border towns of Naracoorte and Bordertown and one hour from Horsham.

Come and stay. The township of Goroke has accommodation, a hotel offering the most amazing food and plenty of other attractions to make for a wonderful weekend away.
