Edenhope Information Centre and Courthouse

Visit the Edenhope Courthouse built 1878 with magistrate’s bench, prisoner dock and lock up. Discover its many stories including the Maryvale murders and the history of Edenhope and the Aboriginal cricket memorabilia. January 2025 The remains of the Maryvale Murder Mystery have been located and a commemorative statue placed on their site at the Edenhope Cemetery.

The Old Court House, a listed building, has been preserved in immaculate condition. Adjacent is the wooden prison lockup built in 1860-1870, located in a pretty country garden.

​Edenhope Visitor Information Centre is situated in the former court house. Entry is free. The centre includes a small range of local books and local produce.
