Kannamaroo Festival
The Kannamaroo Festival is a family friendly and free community event held annually in November each year in Horsham.
The Kannamaroo Festival commenced in 1980 and has been operating ever since. The Festival is located on the banks of the Wimmera River at the Horsham Showgrounds and Maydale Reserve, the iconic waterway was the inspiration behind the name of the Festival; ‘Kanna’ meaning beautiful and ‘Amaroo’ meaning waterhole.
During the weekend festival:
Friday – River Challenge or other event on the Friday night at the River.
Saturday – Carnival all day at Showgrounds – food, kids activities, music, cultural concert and fireworks from 5pm at Maydale reserve
Sunday – Carnival – Market and expo and many family activities, sensory area, cultural activities, Army display and Cadets, Youth activities,
Music, Santa, Tiny Goats and much, much more.
