Heritage Day at the Stick Shed Murtoa
Heritage day is a celebration of the the Stick Shed in Murtoa, the last remaining wooden bulk grain store of its type in the world.
There will be guided tours at 10:15 AM and 12:30 PM. The Decibelles choir will sing at 1:00 PM to display the Stick Shed’s extraordinary acoustics, and a new display.
To add to the day’s attraction, just across the road the only four mighty Hornsby engines still on their original mounts anywhere in the world will be fired up along with many others at 11:00 AM. The Water Tower Museum with its amazing collection will be open from noon to 2:00 PM. A chance to see its amazing bird collection and the Murtoa Railway station.
Elsewhere in Murtoa there will be a town wide garage sale and a country market. A great family day out with something for everyone.
