Also situated in Jaypex Park is the John Shaw Neilson Cottage. This is reconstruction of the two original rooms of the home in which Nhill’s resident poet John Shaw Neilson was born. Neilson was one of Australia’s great lyric poets who wrote about his life in and around Nhill.

The park provides access to Nhill Lake via a boardwalk.
