Explore the early engineering heritage presented in the Blacksmith shop, observe a Post Office featuring a manual telephone exchange, and examine the robust Mallee Scrub Roller.

Step into settler life in the Shepherds Hut, Grange Stable, and Drop Log Hut—imagine the early Mallee lifestyle. Reflect on local contributions to the nation in the Room of Remembrance, and visit ‘Auchmore’, a 1925 residence that displays Mallee family traditions.

Spend some time in the restored Winston Church with its historic reed organ, stained-glass window, and timeless architecture. The Gallery Barn displays horse-drawn gigs, musical memorabilia, and a large photo collection.

An example of a small rural educational school is the Towaninnie School, which operated as a one-teacher school serving students from Prep to Grade 8.
